Interfacial Adsorption of 5-Octyloxymethyl-8-quinolinol over a Range of pH

چکیده

A high speed stirring method was used to measure the adsorption behavior of 5-octyloxymethyl-8-quinolinol (Hocqn) at the chloroform= water interface over a range of pH 1 13. Results showed the increase in adsorptivity of Hocqn at both low and high pH conditions and indicated that the protonated form (H2ocqn 2þ) was more adsorbable at the interface than the deprotonated form (ocqn ) of this molecule.
